Maya Gonzalez is based in San Francisco, CA.

Our fees are dependent upon a number of factors including type, length, and location of the presentation, workshop, or lecture as well as travel arrangements required. Because of this, it is best to contact us with your request so that we may better assess and negotiate with you around your needs. We are often able to accomodate many different types of financial situations so please don't hesitate to contact us! Additionally, there may be grants that can assist on a federal, state, or local level. Your school district may have available grants like this one in Minnesota or this one for schools nationwide. There are also grant opportunities from the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) or the US Department of Education or even your local bank like Wells Fargo! A little research on the internet or at your local library can go a long way. There is funding out there if you know where to look. And if you are awarded funding to bring Maya into your classroom, please do let us know so we may pass along the information to others!

Still can’t find the funds? We know times can be hard sometimes. Maya does, on occasion, offer her services free of charge, this usually only happens once per year and is often to a school in need. If you’re longing for Maya to visit but just can’t find the funds, feel free to contact us, tell us your story, and we’ll see what we can accommodate. It’s been known to happen, especially for a good cause!
